Oatmeal yogurt chocolate chip cookies

Gabby loves greek Yogurt and I had a coupon for 1.00 off two. They were only 1.00 each so I got them for 50 cents each. I thought I had grabbed the blueberry because the container was blue. But it ended up that it was plain flavored. None of us like the plain so I looked up some recipes using it. I found this one and since I had everything on hand I tried it. They are a good twist to the chocolate chip cookies.

INGREDIENTS:

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup plain nonfat or low fat yogurt
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup uncooked rolled oats
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

 DIRECTIONS:
  • Heat oven to 375° F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugars, yogurt, butter, oil, and vanilla until well blended. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and oats. Blend until smooth. Stir in chips.
  • Drop dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Use a little over 1 teaspoon of dough per cookie. Bake for approximately 9 minutes or until cookies are just turning golden brown.
  • Let cool for one minute before removing them from the cookie sheet and onto a cooling rack.
