Memorial Day & Avalynn's Birthday Celebration

We started the day by going to visit my Brother's grave and to plant some flowers there. We go every Memorial day and it has kind of become a tradition.

Then we went and watched the Memorial Day Parade in Elmira, NY. My girls and Niece were even photographed by the Star Gazette. You can see that picture by clicking HERE.

After going to the Parade we had a Barbeque and celebrated Avalynn's 3rd Birthday a few days early. I made her a cake with some toy horses on it. She Loves Horses!

Then it was time to swim and enjoy the afternoon. It was close to 90 degrees today! Perfect for swimming!

Baby Teeth

Nathan's first tooth has popped through today! He was really clingy today and wanted to nurse a lot more then he usually does. This evening I was holding him and he was biting down on my finger when I thought I felt something hard in his mouth. So I got a flashlight and looked in and sure enough his tooth was coming through. I can see the one right next to it sitting right under his gums so that one will be through soon too!

My Niece Natalee lost her first tooth today. She is 5 years 5 Months old. Kind of neat because the tooth she lost is the same tooth Nathan is getting in.

Dandelions

I know they are just a weed but I think they are pretty. I remember as a kid making them into crowns, necklaces and bracelets. My girls love to pick them and play with them too.

Ball Park Hot Dogs, Buy one get one free. $3.99 minus Two .55 coupons that doubled. So total for both packs $1.59 or 0.80 cents Each pack.

Oxi Clean Stain Treaters on sale for $2.99. I had a coupon for $3.00 off Two so they were $1.49 Each.

Ronzoni Pasta on sale for $1.00. Used coupon for $1.00 off two so they were 0.50 Cents  each box.

Target 

(Best place to coupon, they allow you to use a Target coupon AND a manufacter's coupon on the same item)

Palmolive Dish soap. Used a $1.00 off Target coupon and a $1.00 off Manufacter's coupon so total price paid was 0.39 cents

Nivea Body wash. On sale for $2.43 each. I had two manufacter's coupons that were for $3.00 off each bottle, then I also used a Target coupon for $1.00 off 1. I ended making $2.14 toward the rest of my purchase! So they were Totally FREE!

Mother's Day

I think I have one of the Best Mother's in the world. She might not be perfect but she is about as close as it gets. I wouldn't have wanted any other Mom. My Mom has always worked hard and made a great life for our family. She is very loving and also a Wonderful Gramma. Here are some pictures I want to share.

Not a whole lot has been going on lately. The weather has been cold and rainy for the most part so we have been staying inside a lot. Today I let the kids get out the playdough. It is one of their favorite things to play with and one of my least favorite to clean up but it keeps them entertained for a good hour or so.

None of the kids have been sleeping too good the past couple of nights. That means I don't get much sleep either. I always try to remind myself that they are just little and won't be climbing in our bed forever. I actually love snuggling with them and it doesn't bother me too much. It is just hard to sleep when we are all piled in one bed, lol. Sometimes I will take the girls back into their bed and get them back to sleep. They seem to go through phases where they will sleep all night and then they get back into a phase where they wake up and get in our bed.

I decided to sign the girls up to go to preschool in the fall. If they don't like it or they don't want to go I will pull them out. I really think that Gabby is ready to go. I am not so sure about Avalynn. She is really shy around other adults and wants to be with me a lot so we will just see how it goes. 

Only 7 more weeks until our trip to Indiana to visit relatives. The girls are so excited. Gabby keeps talking about seeing her cousins and she wants to push her daddy off Nannie and Papa's boat. We are praying for warm weather by then!

Nathan Turned 5 Months old on May 3rd. How can he be 5 months already!! Time goes way too fast! It seems like he was just born! He is such a wonderful blessing too! I could not have ever imagined that a baby could be as happy and content as he is. The girls were great too but he is just about as perfect as a baby could be! 

Well I guess I will quit rambling on, just wanted to do a small update!

I get excited when I get a great deal with coupons! Here are some deals I got today. Since April 10th I have saved $113.54 just in coupons!

WEIS

Thomas English Muffins were on Sale Buy 1 get 2 FREE. No coupon on that deal but I got each package for $1.26 each.

Ronzoni Pasta is on sale 10.00 for 10.00, I bought 2 boxes and had a coupon for 1.00 off two so I got 2 boxes at 0.50 each box.

Coffee-mate creamer was on sale 3 for $5.00. I have a coupon that is 0.75 off two which doubled to 1.00 off. I bought Two bottles and then ended up being $1.17 each.

Lays Kettle chips on sale 2 for $6.00 minus coupon for $2.00 off two = $2.00 each bag.

Tops

Tostitos Chips on sale 3 for 6.00. I had two coupons that were for 1.00 off 1 plus I used the coupon doubler coupons in the tops flyer so total price paid was 3 bags for $2.00 which comes out to 0.67 Cents a bag.

Heinz Ketchup on sale for 1.99. Used coupon that was for 0.50 cents off that doubled to 1.00 off so made it $1.00 for the 20 ounce bottle of Ketchup. (I got this coupon by writing to the company)
