28 week prenatal appointment

My blood sugars have been a lot better since starting the medication but I still had a couple that were a little high so the doctor is going to have me start taking it twice a day. We are trying to prevent this baby from getting as big as Nathan was. Right now I am measuring right at 28 for the fundal height so she is growing right on track. Her heart rate was in the 150's. I go back in one week for my next appointment.

Indiana Trip/Visit with Family 2012

On Sunday Kevin worked until 3:30 so we left around 4:30 and had planned to drive half way. Around the time we got near Jamestown we noticed that the Van was spraying Transmission fluid out the back and up the back Window. We decided to stop for the night because it was starting to get dark and we didn't want to get stranded on the highway.

Monday Morning Kevin tried to see if he could figure out where it was leaking from but could not tell. He thought it might be the gasket on the pan. He put some transmission fluid in and we left the Hotel around 8:00 in the morning. It was okay for a little ways and then it started leaking again. We noticed that if we stopped for an hour or so it would stop doing it for a while. So we stopped about every half hour for an hour at a time. When we got near Laporte IN Kevin talked to his brother and we decided to stop and meet him and his family for dinner because we were going to have to stop about that time anyway. We had dinner with them and then were able to drive the rest of the way to Kevin's parents house.

On Tuesday Morning a friend of the family wanted us to bring the kids to Valparaiso because she wanted to take the girls to a boutique. She let them pick out an outfit each and also a hat. She bought a blanket for the new baby too. That night we went to Kevin's Friend Rich's house to have dinner with him and his family. We did not have any problems with the Van that day.

On Wednesday Morning Kevin's dad looked at the Van but wasn't sure what was wrong. They called a garage and they said it would probably be around $700.00 to fix if it ended up being what they thought it would be. We had no choice but to take it there because we had to have it to get home. We were able to squeeze the kids 3 carseats into the back of Kevin's Moms trailblazer and she let us drive that while the Van was at the garage. After we dropped the Van off we took the kids to white castle for lunch and I had a Jimmie Johns sub. We ate our food at a park in Chesterton. Then we took Gabby to an Urgent Care because she was really complaining about her ear hurting. I had taken her to the doctor before we left Sunday and they had put her on an antibiotic but it wasn't helping. At the Urgent care they  said her ear was really red and the ear drum was bulging. They put her on a different Antibiotic and also gave her a prescription for Tylenol with codeine for the pain. The pain medication didn't work well for her so we just stuck with the advil that seemed to work better. After a couple days she was feeling a lot better!

On Thursday Morning we went to Breakfast with some Friends of the Family. Kevin's parents were babysitting Kevin's brothers kids so they went too. While we were there the garage called and said they could not find anything wrong with the Van. The only problem was that they said we should not drive it in overdrive and also that Kevin must have over filled it with fluid when it leaked and that made it keep leaking. After breakfast we took the kids to a splash pad. It started raining while we were there but the kids had fun anyway. Then we went and picked the van up. Kevin wanted to go to Bass Pro shop since it was right near by. I don't really like that store but we went because we don't have one near where we live.  The kids all found a small toy they wanted so we got them for them. Gabby got a little deer that makes noises, Avalynn got a Horse coloring book and Nathan got a little lantern. Afterward we went to Kevin's brother's house and ate. Then we all decided to go to the Beach. It was really pretty going there so late in the day. The sun was starting to set by the time we left.

Friday morning we went to Duneland resale shop. When we lived in Chesterton it was one of my favorite places to go and look around. We found a life jacket and some dress up clothes for the kids. Then Kevin's family all wanted to go to Bass Pro shop because they had not gone the day before when we went. So we went there again and just looked around at the fish and things. Avalynn ended up setting off a really loud door alarm because she tried to go out a door she wasn't supposed to! After that Kevin and I took the kids to the beach again. It was really nice and hardly anyone there even though it was pretty hot. It was nice to spend some time like that as a family. The water was warm and we all had a great time! Later that night we met Kevin's brother and his family at the 49er drive in Theater and watched Brave and The Avengers. I did not like Brave at all. I didn't think it was a very good movie for kids and in my opinion was just really dark and not fun at all. I was so tired that I only saw about the first 15 minutes of The Avengers before I fell asleep. It is not my type of Movie anyway, although I was happy to get a glimpse of "Thor" lol.

On Saturday Morning we went to the European Market in Chesterton, In. The girls got their faces painted. There were so many more vendors there now then when we lived there. After that we drove out to Jellystone park in Pierston, IN where my in laws have a 5th wheel camper that they have on a lot and keep it there year round. We went out on their boat and went swimming off from it. As we were going around the lake we saw some deer. It was really fun.

Sunday Morning we took the kids down to play at the playground in the park. The we went back out on the boat and swam again. Afterward we started our drive home. We drove to near Cleveland and didn't have any trouble with the Van. We stayed in a nice hotel and the girls and I went swimming while Kevin and Nathan went to pick up pizza for our dinner. We ate and then went to bed.

Monday morning we got up and had a nice breakfast at the hotel. Then we were on the road again. When we stopped at a rest area Kevin got on his ipod and found out that my cousin Lisa was in labor. Since we would be driving by the hospital on our way home I texted my other cousin Bobbie Jo, Lisa's sister and asked if it would be okay if I stopped by on our way though. She said that was okay with her. We stopped for lunch in Bath Ny and then drove to the hospital. Bobbie met me out in the hallway and said the Doctor was in checking her. We went in and found out that they were setting her up to push! How exciting! I asked Lisa if she wanted me to leave and she said I could stay. So I got to see little Jake come into this world! What a miracle it was to see! He is just perfect and so cute! I am happy that I was able to be there to see him being born! The neatest thing was that it was also Lisa's Birthday, so I am sure he was the best present ever!

26 week prenatal

I have gained 26 pounds. (yuck). My blood pressure was great at 112/68. They tested my iron and I am anemic so they want me to start taking iron. I have not been very good about taking my prenatal so for now I am going to just try to take that every day. I have been really tired so that might be why. My fasting sugar levels have been high in the mornings so they also have put me on a medication for that. It is the same one I took when I was pregnant with Nathan. They baby's heart rate was 163. I am measuring 2 weeks ahead. So far that is not anything to worry about. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. They did not tell me I would have to start the Non stress tests yet but I probably will have to soon since they put me on the medication. I had to do them 2 times a week when I was pregnant with Nathan.

All Moved in!

Everything went pretty good on Saturday when we moved in. My parents and Josh and Shelly Helped us load and unload the moving truck. Shelly had also kept the kids overnight on Friday so I was able to get some last minute things done. I also bought some groceries to fill the new Fridge. We ordered pizza for everyone for helping us move. My mom and Shelly helped us set up and make our beds so they would be ready for the night. Shortly after that everyone left. We had a Huge mess with everything all over. Kevin and I worked at it pretty late and got a lot done. I cleaned and organized the playroom. Then I worked on cleaning and organizing the laundry room. Kevin moved a bunch of stuff to the attic and shed that needed to go in those places.

Sunday we ran some errands. Kevin mowed the back yard with our new  reel mower. It works pretty good and best part is we don't have to buy gas for it. It also does not require any sharpening.

Monday was also an errand running day. We bought a broom, swiffer, magic eraser and some other cleaning supplies. We got some more stuff put away. The bad part of the day was that Kevin tripped on the stairs and his elbow went through a window. Luckily he did not get hurt but we will need to replace the glass. We got the splash pad out for the kids to play with for a little while. It was so Hot out!

Today I cleaned the downstairs floors and Kitchen and bath really well. We also had the Cable guy come and get the internet and cable hooked up. We are all enjoying our new house and the extra space we have not had since we got married. The kids have so much more room to play and I don't feel so claustrophobic! We still have some more things to put away and organize but things are coming along pretty well!

18 Month Check up

I can't believe my baby is a Year and a half already! Kevin took him to his check up. Everything looks good. He is still on the small side but doing everything he should be. He weighs 22 pounds (7th%) and is 32 inches (25th%) He talks really good. He can say almost anything you ask him to say. The other day at the grocery store when I was checking out he said "Hi"  to the cashier and then when she was ringing things up he was saying what some of the things were. When we were leaving he was blowing her kisses and saying "Bye Bye". He is very sweet and loving most of the time. He is also a very active toddler and always finding new things to get into trouble doing! His favorite foods are Hot dogs, sausage, Applesauce, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, Greek Yogurt and he loves orange Juice.
Here is a Video of Him playing with his cars.

Tomorrow is Moving day

Finally we are moving into our own house! I am happy and excited but I am not looking forward to the mess! We have been taking things over every day since closing and I know I am going to have a lot of organizing to do.  I will just take it a little at a time. Kevin is off Saturday, Sunday and Monday so he will be able to do a lot of it also. We will be without Internet until at least Tuesday so I won't be blogging or on facebook for a few days.

Avalynn's Birthday Party

At first I wasn't going to do any kind of party this year because we are in the middle of moving and everything but then I thought it wasn't fair to Avalynn since for Gabby's birthday we went to a water park. So I decided to do a Luau party. I made the cake and even though it was freezing cold up at the pond today everyone seemed to have a good time.
