37 Week Prenatal appointment

My strep B test came back negative so I won't have to get antibiotics for that. I have not gained anymore so I am still at 30 pounds gained. Baby was measuring big so they did an ultrasound today. On Ultrasound she measured approx. 8 pounds 7 ounces.  The fluid level was also slightly high. She also has a ton of hair!! Not surprising since the rest of my kids have too. They are going to induce me around 39 weeks to make sure she won't get too big. I am going to start having Non stress tests twice a week starting on Friday. My next appointment is on Sept. 4th so I should find out then when the induction will be.

Not really a baby shower but...

My Mom and sister's wanted to have a little celebration to welcome Kendall into the family. They also invited one of my closest Cousins. It wasn't anything big. We had pizza and my younger sister made cake. It was really nice that they did this for me and Kendall. I have to admit I didn't really want to have another baby. We were set with the 3 we have but now that it is getting so close I am starting to get excited to add a new baby to the family. I know it is going to be hard at first. All of my kids sleep through the night now so I will have to get used to getting up every couple of hours again. The girls are so excited. They can't wait for their new sister to get here. Nathan loves babies and I am afraid he will be wanting to hold her all the time. The girls have always been really great with Nathan so I hope that bringing Kendall into the family will be just as easy of an adjustment. 35 Weeks 2 Days

35 week prenatal

My blood pressure was great. I didn't gain anything since my last appointment. The baby's Heart beat was 136. The doctor did the strep B test today so he also checked me when he did that. He said the head is down but not engaged yet. I have not dilated at all but I am 50% effaced. My fundal height measured at 37 and I am 35 weeks 3 days. So baby is measuring a little big but not huge. My next appointment is August 27 and I will be one day shy of 37 weeks then.

Watkin's Glen Race

Kevin got free tickets from the Watkin's Glen track. In exchange they had him doing some twittering for them on his twitter account. He was also given Cold Passes so that he could get into the garage area before the race. I could have gone with him but my feet have been so swollen this pregnancy that I could not have done all that walking. We live about 45 minutes from the track. He was up there Friday, Saturday and Sunday for lots of events. Here is a link to some pictures that he took Yesterday. 33 Week Prenatal appointment

The baby's heart rate was at 137 today. Usually it is in the 150's but the midwife said that it was good. My blood pressure was 120/76. I have gained 30 pounds. yuck... My iron was pretty low. It is down to 9 so they sent me over for blood work to get a bunch of tests run such as CBC, IBC,Ferritin level, B-12 Level, Folate level and Reticulocyte count. I don't even know what most of those are. I have to take my iron 2 times a day on an empty stomach and hopefully it will come up because I don't want to end up having to get blood after giving birth or something.  My fundal height measured at 34 which is great because I am 33 weeks 3 days today. So far it looks like she won't be as big as Nathan. My blood sugars have been great. Last week my battery died in my glucose monitor and ever since I changed the battery I have not had a high sugar at all. I don't know if it is coincidence or it my monitor was just off due to the battery being low. I go back in 2 weeks.
