2011 was a pretty good year but 2012 should be even better! Hoping for some positive changes for our family this coming year!

Christmas Celebrations

I am a little late at posting this. On Christmas eve we always go over to my parents house for Dinner and to open gifts with them. This year Kevin had to work so he was not able to be there. My Mom made a Roast in her crock pot, I made Green bean casserole and Shelly made a corn Casserole. The food was all really Good! They got a ton of gifts that night!

That night I didn't sleep very well. I guess I was just too excited. I lay awake in bed for over an hour waiting for the girls to wake up. I think they ended up getting up at 6:30. I heard them Whispering and then I called out and asked them if Santa Came and they both said Yes. We all got up and they started ripping into their presents. They loved everything they got except Gabby didn't like the lalaloopsy doll. She opened it up and said "I don't like this, here you can have it Avalynn". So It ended up being Avalynn's doll, lol. They love the new Roller Coaster and have played with that a lot. Nathan can ride it too and he really likes it also. Kevin and I made Italian Beef in the crock pot and took it over to my parents house for lunch.  Kevin had to go to work again that afternoon. My Mom and I took the kids and went over to my Sister Shelly's house to visit and let the kids play. Then when we got back home I got most of the apartment organized from the Christmas mess.

 

Thursday December 28th we had a get together at my Aunt Gen's house for my Dads side of the family. It was really nice to get to see them all.

Date Night

Had a date night with my Husband tonight! My twin sister watched the kids for us. We went and watched "Jack and Jill" at the theater. It was okay but I would recommend waiting for it to come out on DVD. Then we went to a Chinese buffet. I usually like Chinese but this place didn't have very many vegetarian dishes like a lot of the other one's I have been to do. It was really nice to go out to eat without the kids for once though! I was able to sit and eat my food without having to quiet someone down or catch someone from falling out of the booth. At the same time I also missed having the kids with us. It was a nice night with my husband though and we do need alone time sometimes.

1 Year Check up

Nathan had his Well baby check today, It went well and he is doing everything he should be at this time. He has 8 teeth now, 2 of them just popped through yesterday. . He weighs exactly 21 pounds. So in this year he has gained 10 pounds 2 ounces. Kind of surprising since he started out so big! (9 pounds 14 oz at birth) He is 25% for his weight. He is also shorter then I would expect since Kevin is 6 feet 4 inches and I am 5 feet 6 inches. Nathan was 27 1/2 inches. Which is also the 25%. Both of the girls were small at 1 year and now in the 75-80% for height so I think he will shoot up eventually too. There are 4 shots they are supposed to get at 1 year. I only had them give him two of those plus his Flu shot. I have to take him back for the flu shot booster in 1 month so he will get the other two shots then.

Nathan & Natalee Birthday Party

We took Nathan to a Science Center for his 1st Birthday. The 4th is my niece's 6Th Birthday so we were celebrating her Birthday also. My cousin's Bobbie and Lisa came with their kids also. It was a lot of fun! Then we went back to my parents house for Pizza, Cake and Ice Cream. It was a great day!

Happy 1st Birthday!

This year went so fast! My baby is 1 year old already! He is a very sweet little boy. He loves to give hugs and kisses. Yesterday I was holding him and he said "mama" and gave me a big hug! I am so Thankful that we were blessed with this amazing little boy!


He is walking all over the place now and loves getting into everything. He is very active like Avalynn. The poor boy is always getting bruised on his head and shins from falling! He is pretty tough though and it doesn't bother him too much. He loves wrestling around with his big sister's and Daddy.  He is smart too, and he knows when he is doing something he shouldn't be because he will try to hide it from me! (Like when he takes the TV remote and I walk over to get it from him he tries to hide it under himself.)


He has the funniest laugh! He sounds like a little horse sometimes! He laughs a lot. His sister's are always being silly and he laughs and just about everything they do. Here are some video's of him through his first year and a slide show of Pictures.
