Pre-K Week 5

MONDAY

Columbus Day No School

TUESDAY

After having 3 days off she was a little hesitant about going back but she started playing with playdough right away and was fine when I left. After I picked her up we went to my Moms house to walk with her and I made My Mom a cake for her Birthday so we ate dinner with her and had some cake.

WEDNESDAY

I took her to school in the morning and then Avalynn and Nathan came with me to pick her up. She had a good day.

THURSDAY

Today was Gabby's Picture day. After school today Gabby and I had to stay and have a meeting with the teacher's. It was supposed to be a Home visit but they said they were running out of time to do them so we just did it in the class. They just went over how she was doing and I had some forms to fill out. They were also talking about needing to take some pictures of the kids to post at the school and I told them that I would love to come and take some for them. They just have to okay with someone since I would be taking it with my own camera.

FRIDAY

No School for Staff Learning Day.

Finger Food-Banana Pancakes

I was looking for some Finger food ideas for Nathan I came across this recipe for Banana Pancakes.  It looked so easy I tried it right away. They turned out great but the only problem is that I forgot Nathan doesn't like Bananas. He took a couple bites but then started throwing them. Gabby liked them and was asking me to make more but I only had the one Banana so she will have to wait. Avalynn didn't like them.

Ingredients:
1 or 2 ripe bananas (not overly ripe or mushy bananas)
Pancake Batter
Directions:
Slice bananas into coins or diagonally
Coat with pancake batter
Lightly fry in pan until golden brown
Serve as Baby Finger Foods for snack or at breakfast time

I used a griddle to cook them

All Done

Nathan was not impressed with them

Gabby loved them and ate most of them.

Pumpkin Farm 2011 & A look back at previous Years

We took the kids to The Pumkin Farm this morning. They had a good time. We have gone every year since Gabby was a baby. It is getting really expensive to go there and so crowded. We got there at a good time and it wasn't too bad but as we were leaving it was starting to be  a lot more people getting there. My sister and Niece, My Mom and My other Niece and Nephew came with us too.

The Discovery Center

Kevin and I decided to take the kids to do something fun as a family. So we ended up taking them to A Discovery Center. It was so much fun! My favorite part was the mini grocery store. The girls said they liked that the most too! Kevin liked the Jet that he sat in and pretended to fly. There is a science center we plan on taking them to some time when it gets colder and we are looking for something to do.

October Farmland Visit

My sister's kids didn't have school today so we decided to take them all to Farmland. It was a beautiful sunny day and around 70 degrees, Just perfect!
