Nannie and Papa's visit

Kevin's parents drove through the night on Monday and arrived at our apartment around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday Morning. Gabby was so happy to see them. She was sleeping when they got here and when she woke up she gave her Nannie a great big hug! Later They treated us to lunch at The Old Country Buffet and the rest of the day we just hung out at our apartment. They were really tired from the drive. They stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Horseheads so they drove back up there around 7:00 so they could get some sleep.

Wednesday morning  around 9:00 we drove up to Horseheads where Kevin's parents were staying so the kids could swim with them. They had a lot of fun. Then we went over to the mall to shop and have lunch. Later we went to my parents house and we all had Pudgies pizza with them.

Boots Family

Thursday Morning we went back up to the hotel. Kevin swam that day too and took Nathan in for his first swim. Nathan really seemed to enjoy it. After that we went to Olive Garden for lunch. Then we did a little shopping at Target. After that we came back to our apartment and hung out. Kevin's parents left to go back to their hotel around 9:00 p.m. They left this morning around 5:45 a.m. to go home.

It was really nice no one else was in the pool either day they swam
 Nathan really liked the water!
 Three Generations of Tony Fans!

We had a nice visit with them and we are really looking forward to going out there this summer to see them and hopefully some other friends and family.

We had a scare with a minor fire in our apartment yesterday. The apartment was filled with smoke but luckily no one was hurt and the fire was contained quickly. Kevin had to work over night last night so the kids and I stayed at my parents house to get away from the smoke smell. Later I am going to have to try to wash anything washable to try to get the smell out. I hate having everything smell like a camp fire!

Looking forward to family visit

Looking forward to Kevin's parents coming next week. They have not met Nathan yet so it will be nice for them to meet him. They have also only seen Avalynn three times when we went out there summer '08, Christmas '08 and summer '09. We are going to go out there at the end of the summer this year. I wish summer was here now because I would really like to go out there. This summer will be two years since the girls and I were there. Gabby is always talking about going on her papa's boat and playing at lake Michigan. I can't believe she remembers that! She must get her memory from her daddy!

31

Usually my Birthday's depress me but for some reason this year it has not bothered me at all that I am a year older. 31 is kind of a boring number though. It's not like 29 where it is my last year in my 20's, it's not like turning 30 where it is my first year in my 30's. So I am now just a boring 31.  Looking forward to what this year will bring. The best part about my birthday is I get to share it with my Best friend.

Nathan 2 Month Check up

Nathan is doing great! He turned 2 months on February 3rd. He is a very happy baby. He smiles a lot and even laughs now. It is so fun interacting with him. He coos back to me like we are having a conversation. He now weighs 13 pounds 4 ounces which is 75%. He is 24 3/4 inches which is 90%. Looks like he is going to be tall like his daddy! His hair is starting to lighten up and the roots are coming in blonde. So I think he will be light haired like his sisters. Here are a couple pictures from his doctor appointment.

I stopped along the road to take this picture of the river on the way to his appointment, so pretty.
Checking himself out in the mirror

After he got two shots.  I nursed him for a few minutes before putting him in his car seat. Such a brave boy and hardly cried at all.
